GSD-1 SS Body Flanged Y Type Strainer

Stainless steel Y-type Strainer is a small device that removes a small amount of solid particles in liquid, protects the normal operation of the equipment. When the fluid enters filter cartridge with a certain size of filter screen, its impurities are blocked, and the clean filtrate is discharged from the filter outlet. When cleaning is required, as long as the removed filter cartridge is removed and re-mounted after treatment, so the use and maintenance is extremely convenient.

SS Body Flanged Y Type Strainer VS WCB Body

1. Standard:

Both SS body flanged Y type strainer and WCB body flanged Y type standard are ASME, DIN, BS

2. Pressure:

Both SS body flanged Y type strainer and WCB body flanged Y type pressure are Class125/150, PN10/16

3. Range of Applications (Similarity):

Stardard: ANSI CLASS 125/150, DIN 3202 PN10/16

Face to face: ANSI CLASS 125/150, DIN 3202 F1

Connection flange type: Flange end

4. Installation (Difference and Similarity):

Although the material is different, they are all connected with bolts and flange end fixed in the pipeline system, with no difference in use.

Q How to Select a Flanged Y Type Strainer?

  1. Appropriate inlet and outlet diameter

    The inlet and outlet diameter of the Flanged Y Type Strainer must not be smaller than the corresponding inlet diameter and it is generally the best to be consistent with the inlet pipe diameter.

     

  2. Casting material of Flanged Y Type Strainer

    Different materials have different physical and chemical properties. The material of the Flanged Y Type Strainer you choose should generally be the same as the material of the process pipe connected to it. For different working conditions, you can specifically choose a Flanged Y Type Strainer made of cast iron, low-alloy steel, carbon steel, or stainless steel.

     

  3. Selection of the number of mesh holes

    The core working mechanism of the Flanged Y Type Strainer is the screen. Therefore, when choosing a Y-type filter, special consideration should be given to the size and number of holes of the filter screen that intercepts impurities.
